Piece Notes:

"Visions" is an electro-acoustic piece for chamber orchestra and pre-recorded sounds. The piece is aleatory in nature including the voluntary audience participation of children performing certain instruments at will. Particularly, the instruments given to the audience during the performance will be cuicas, rattlers, sticks, shakers and rainmakers. These instruments imitate some of the Amazonic Jungle's sounds.

"Visions" is a work inspired on the Amazon Jungle at the south of Venezuela. This is the birth country of the composer Sylvia Constantinidis. The piecea typical bird from Venezuela. The "Guacharo"evoques the agitation of nature during the heavy rains that characterize six months of the tropical year. The piece closes with the peaceful and refreshing feeling that follows a heavy storm.

In 2010, at the FLAMINGO FESTIVAL, this piece was a wonderful experience for the audience present at the concert. For another idea of performance, The piece can be accompanied by visual images portraying the Amazon Jungle. It can be use as an exploration to this fantastic and exotic territory.
